Dynamite Kiss

Synopsis

Go Da Rim is a single woman struggling to support herself. To secure stable work, she lies about her background and pretends to be a married mother. This deception allows her to join a baby products company as a temporary employee.

Her direct superior is Gong Ji Hyeok, the calm and highly capable leader of the Mother TF team. He is respected for his precision and discipline, but his orderly life is disrupted when Da Rim suddenly kisses him. The situation becomes more complicated because he believes she is married.

As Da Rim works under Ji Hyeok, her sole focus is earning a permanent position. However, daily interactions slowly blur professional boundaries. What begins as a chance encounter and a necessary lie develops into an unexpected romance, built on secrets that threaten both their careers and their growing feelings.

My Notes / Opinions

This one started off really strong for me. The romance comes in fast, the chemistry is obvious early, and the vibe feels more mature and direct than a lot of rom coms. When it sticks to the couple’s banter, comedy, and affectionate moments, it genuinely hits.

Where it starts wearing me down is the way the story leans into familiar drama padding with forced interference from an antagonist type character, repeated trust and communication issues, and the classic breakups that feel like they exist to stretch the runtime instead of letting the relationship progress naturally. By the later episodes, it feels less like organic conflict and more like a trope checklist, which is annoying because the core couple and their dynamic are still the best part of the show.
