My Man is Cupid

Synopsis

Five centuries ago, Cheon Sang Hyuk, a charismatic fairy who once made women fall in love with ease, lost his wings in a fire. To regain them, he has lived through 27 transformations. During his 28th attempt, he accidentally strikes himself with his own arrow and becomes entangled with Oh Baek Ryun.

Oh Baek Ryun is a veterinarian who runs an animal clinic. She is admired for her beauty, yet her love life is cursed. Every man who falls for her faces a life threatening incident and eventually leaves her. Though she avoids dating, she still hopes to meet the one person meant for her.

As Sang Hyuk falls in love for the first time, the boundary between fairy and human begins to blur. Their connection challenges fate itself, raising the question of whether a love once forbidden can finally be fulfilled.

Triangle Details

The detective is positioned as a potential rival early on, and there are obvious setup moments, but the FL consistently chooses the ML. The triangle exists more for tension than real competition.

My Notes / Opinions

This one starts solid and surprisingly refreshing. The FL being openly into the ML from early on is rare and really enjoyable to watch. It felt direct and satisfying instead of dragged out.

The obvious triangle setup with the detective was frustrating because it was predictable from episode 1, but thankfully it never fully derails the main couple. The FL consistently leans toward the ML, which keeps things from becoming unbearable.

Once the ML steps into protective mode and the jealousy moments start happening, the dynamic gets really cute.

The reincarnation twist and emotional destiny element actually work here instead of feeling forced. By episode 12 it’s fully locked in and very enjoyable. The final stretch leans more thriller, but the romance stays intact.

Overall, this was just a good, enjoyable watch. Not groundbreaking, but consistent, cute, and emotionally satisfying. The ending especially lands perfectly.
