Witch’s Love

Synopsis

In modern Seoul, three generations of witches live quietly while running a small restaurant. Kang Cho Hong works there with Maeng Ye Soon and Jo Aeng Doo, doing her best to avoid attention even though her youthful looks draw interest from a local man, Hwang Jae Wook.

Their hidden world is threatened when their landlord, Ma Sung Tae, returns to the building to uncover the truth behind a childhood trauma connected to the place. His search pulls him closer to Cho Hong, forcing her to guard her secret while their lives become increasingly tangled.

As Sung Tae pushes for answers and Cho Hong tries to keep her identity concealed, the quiet balance of their magical household begins to shift.

The 2ML becomes really intrusive. He also triggers a key moment tied to the FL’s situation, making him unexpectedly important to the romance progression.

My Notes / Opinions

A messy, chaotic romance that jumps all over the place. The show is dumb in many ways, but it loops around into being oddly funny and charming. The ML/FL relationship is extremely push pull, with constant arguments followed by sudden cute moments. Most of their chemistry only appears in the final minutes of the drama, while the FL’s sweet and tender portrayal is the real highlight. The 2ML is intrusive and annoying, yet ends up playing a surprising role in the romance through one major twist. Overall, the drama is mid, but short enough to finish without frustration.
