Dali and the Cocky Prince

Synopsis

Jin Mu Hak grows up working in a market stall and learns early how to earn money through persistence and instinct. He later becomes the managing director of his family’s now-global restaurant company, which began as a modest gamjatang shop. Although skilled in business, he lacks formal education and places profit above everything else.

Kim Dal Li comes from a respected family and works in the art world. She is knowledgeable, multilingual, and warm-hearted, but unprepared for practical tasks outside her field. After her father dies unexpectedly, her family’s art gallery falls into bankruptcy, forcing her into financial hardship.

Mu Hak and Dal Li first meet without knowing each other's backgrounds and feel an immediate pull despite their differences. When the failing gallery turns Dal Li into a debtor and Mu Hak into her creditor, their lives collide again. As they navigate clashing values and opposite upbringings, they begin to understand each other and face the possibility of love.

My Notes / Opinions

Fun, chemistry-driven rom-com with a great opposite-attracts dynamic. The first kiss scene stood out as one of the most memorable I’ve seen. Easy to watch, stylish, and overall a very good romance-focused drama.
